This medicine is a scabicide used to treat lice.

Directions:

Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. THIS MEDICINE COMES with a patient information leaflet. Read it carefully. Ask your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist any questions that you may have about this medicine. IF YOU USE AN OIL-BASED HAIR DRESSING on your hair, shampoo, rinse, and dry your hair before using this medicine. SHAKE WELL before using this medicine. Apply this medicine to dry hair until it is thoroughly wet. Work into hair and allow to remain on hair for 4 minutes. Add small quantities of water until a good lather forms. You may be directed to continue to shampoo vigorously for another 4 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. Towel briskly. When hair is dry, comb hair with a fine-toothed comb to remove any remaining nits.

Cautions:

DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED DOSE or use this medicine for longer than prescribed without checking with your doctor. AVOID GETTING THIS MEDICINE in your eyes or on the inside of your nose or mouth. DO NOT USE THIS MEDICINE on cuts or broken skin. IF YOU ARE APPLYING THIS MEDICINE TO ANOTHER PERSON, wear rubber gloves. ALL MEMBERS OF YOUR HOUSEHOLD (including your sexual partner) are usually treated because this condition spreads by personal contact. Wash linens, clothes, and towels in hot water or dry clean them to prevent recurrence. FOR WOMEN: THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED IN BREAST MILK. IF YOU ARE OR WILL BE BREAST-FEEDING while you are using this medicine, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
