ZNP Bar is used to treat dandruff and seborrhea of the scalp and skin. It is available without a prescription.

Directions:

ZNP pyrithione zinc bar is only for use on the skin or scalp. Use warm water to work the bar into a lather. Massage the lather into the affected skin or into your hair and scalp. Rinse the lather off. If you use in your hair and scalp, be sure to completely rinse off your hair and scalp. Rinse your hands well after use. This product is usually used once a day. Use it at least two times a week or as directed by physician. Do not use more often or for a longer period of time than directed by your prescriber or health care professional. Using for longer than directed could increase the chance of side effects.

Cautions:

Tell your prescriber or health care professional about all other medicines you are taking, including non-prescription medicines, nutritional supplements, or herbal products. Also tell your prescriber or health care professional if you are a frequent user of drinks with caffeine or alcohol, if you smoke, or if you use illegal drugs. These may affect the way your medicine works. Check with your health care professional before stopping or starting any of your medicines.
