What is a Generic Drug?

A generic drug is a copy of the brand-name drug with the same dosage, safety, strength, quality, consumption method, performance, and intended use. Before generics become available on the market, the generic company must prove it has the same active ingredients as the brand-name drug and works in the same way and in the same amount of time in the body.

The only differences between generics and their brand-name counterparts is that generics are less expensive and may look slightly different (eg. different shape or color), as trademarks laws prevent a generic from looking exactly like the brand-name drug.

Generics are less expensive because generic manufacturers don't have to invest large sums of money to develop a drug. When the brand-name patent expires, generic companies can manufacture a copy of the brand-name and sell it at a substantial discount.

Description

Lovenox is a prescription blood clot prevention medication used to treat deep vein thrombosis or lower the risk of stroke and heart attack for people prone to blood clots. Enoxaparin is an anticoagulant that promotes more unobstructed blood flow by inhibiting the activity of certain blood clotting proteins. The Lovenox injection may be given before surgeries like knee and hip replacement, where the risk of blood clots becomes higher because of the surgery or because of any immobility that may be required after it. Management of DVT will be the primary use case for Lovenox. Buy Lovenox from Canada and Canpharm and get the lowest price on it.

What is Deep Vein Thrombosis?

Deep vein thrombosis is a condition where blood clots continue to form in veins inside the body, and most commonly in the thighs or lower legs, and resulting in pain, swelling, discoloration, and additional risks that may come from blood clots coming loose and traveling into the heart, lungs, or brain. DVT is more common for people beyond the age of 50, and family history is also seen as a strong indicator of whether or not a person will develop DVT when they become older.
