Pyridium (Phenazopyridine)

This medicine is a urinary tract analgesic used to relieve pain, burning, and other discomfort caused by infection or irritation of the lower urinary tract. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Cautions

SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include headache, stomach upset or cramps. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience skin rash, yellow tinge of the skin or eyes, unusual fatigue, sudden decrease in the amount of urine, or blue or purple skin color. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY if you experience any difficulty breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
